Who we are

Based in Houston, The Ruffuge is a small family run transport dedicated to giving Texas rescue pets a safe ride to their second chance. Born from years of shelter volunteering and a deep love for dogs, we treat every passenger like one of our own.

We aim to operate in a way that is comforting to fosters, adopters, rescue partners and most importantly the pets temporarily in our care.

We are USDA approved, fully insured, have professionally maintenanced reliable vehicles, and emergency protocols in place. Our vans are outfitted with noise dampening aspects, full insulation and secondary AC/heaters to keep everyone comfy.
